Gunnar Lose, MD, DMSc, currently serves as Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and is Chief of the Urogynaecology Unit at Herlev Hospital, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. His thesis: Simultaneous recording of pressure and cross-sectional area in the female urethra: A study of urethral closure function in healthy and stress incontinent women was published in Neurourology and Urodynamics 1992. He has been member of International Continence Society since 1983 and Chairman for the following Standardization Committees: a) Outcome measures for research in adult women with symptoms of lower urinary tract dysfunction (1998), b) Standardisation of urethral pressure measurement: report from the Standardisation Sub-Committee of the International Continence Society (2002) and member of c) The standardization of terminology in nocturia: report from the standardization subcommittee of the International Continence Society (2002).
He has been member of the Scientific Committee of ICS and IUGA.
Prof. Lose is Editor of the International Urogynaecology journal. He has published more than 275 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on urogynaecological topics.
