The ICS Ethics Committee is proud to sponsor Professor Alex London, Carnegie Mellon University, USA, as its third annual ethics lecturer.
Professor London has published extensively on ethical systems to guide research and has served as a consultant to leaders throughout the world. His lecture, Research and Global Health: Some Considerations of Justice is particularly timely in view of the ethical challenges currently presented by the Ebola epidemic in West Africa. Professor London will address research ethics in terms of maximizing benefits for the society at large. He will also be available after his presentation to answer questions from the membership.
Please join the Ethics Committee in welcoming Professor London to the Rio meeting and attend what promises to be a stimulating presentation.
