The ICS Standardisation Steering Committee (SSC) is pleased to announce that there is a new terminology document Working Group (WG) open for application-the ICS Terminology for Nursing Management of LUT/PF Dysfunction in Adults
The SSC is launching a Working Group on the Terminology for Nursing Management of LUT/PF Dysfunction in Adults. Current ICS terminology reports about conservative management of LUT/PF dysfunction lack information about numerous nursing interventions for these conditions. The conservative management of LUT/PF dysfunction described in these documents is incomplete. Nurses are integral members of the clinical care team managing LUT/PF dysfunction. The clinical care team must be informed of interventions used by all members. This report will aim to fill these gaps. The outcome of this project will provide definitions, terminologies, and explanations to facilitate research and clinical practice.

The project can be demanding due to the number of documents to be reviewed broad ranging scope of nursing interventions as well as the timeline involved in its completion. Participation in this working group can lead to expansion of knowledge and documentation of the vital role of nurses in Management of LUT/PF Dysfunction in adults, which is important and rewarding. Members of this working group will play an important part in this.
