In order to sustain the scientific excellence and continual growth of ICS facilities for members, the Board has resolved to increase the annual membership fee as of 1st January 2020. This is the first rate increase in four years and will support the ICS in its many activities, both scientific and charitable. This will also ensure that the services and benefits to ICS members can be maintained, with numerous new plans underway and due for launch in the next 12-18 months. Additionally, our research has indicated that the ICS membership fee is equivalent to, or in some cases far cheaper, than other similar sized national and international societies.
These are the new rates as of 1st January 2020. Please note, we are offering a special deal for our loyal ICS members. If you renew for 2020 by 31 December 2019 then you can still renew at 2019 prices.

The increase in ICS activity over the past four years has been significant. This article provides some key examples with some links provided at the end for your further information and reading.
Excellence in science and education is the beating heart of ICS and to this end we deliver a world class annual scientific meeting and also provide a rich choice of educational opportunities throughout the year. This is delivered through the ICS Advanced Cadaver Training Course, Fistula Surgical Training Course, Regional Meeting (this year delivered in partnership with EAU), and over 20 add-on education courses and guest lectures arranged by our outstanding Education Committee.
ICS scientific output has proliferated over the past four years. Our publication of world class terminology reports has grown year on year, truly re-establishing ICS as the unassailable leader in the field. The Board is actively working on partnerships in terminology with IUGA, AUGS and SUFU. All ICS terminology reports and core scientific publications can now be easily accessed within the new ‘ICS Standards’ e-book (free to all ICS members). Download here.
ICS e-learning and video content has grown beyond even our optimistic expectations. The ICS Institute is now live, with 12 thriving Schools and a growing portfolio of content. ICS TV is a thriving resource of educational and scientific content including state of the art Lectures, educational courses, gold standard ICS interviews and training sessions with international experts. Much of the most prized material is available exclusively for ICS members to view. Since 2016 views on ICS TV have increased five-fold which serves to provide the growth in popularity and range of content.
ICS has again secured the hosting and publication of the renowned International Consultation on Incontinence (ICI). The 7th edition of ICI will take place during ICS 2020 in Las Vegas. As promised, ICS members were able to apply to join a chapter committee for the first time. ICS members enjoyed a 40% discount on the ICI-6 book and can expect a similar discount when ICI-7 is published following ICS 2020.
I would also like to remind you of the fantastic benefits you receive as an ICS member. This list is not exhaustive and the benefits to you grow year on year.
Core benefits of ICS membership:
• Annual subscription to the Neurourology and Urodynamics journal. Huge discount compared to single subscription; outside of ICS membership it would cost you £270 for individual journal access for one year
• Up to 25% discount on registration for the ICS Annual Meeting
• Access to the ICS Members directory – network with over 3,000 members around the world.
• Eligibility to join an ICS committee, institute school or scientific working group
• Eligibility to apply for ICS Awards and Fellowships and special ICS courses (e.g. Surgical Training)
• Exclusive access to ICS scientific content on ICS TV and the ICS Institute, including the new ICS Standards book
I would like to take this opportunity to share my appreciation on behalf of the Board for your support of our society. We all work hard together to ensure our society thrives and fulfils its scientific and charitable missions. There is a lot to look forward to in the future and we truly hope that you will continue on this journey with us for many years to come.
With best regards,
David Castro-Diaz, ICS General Secretary, on behalf of the ICS Board
