PhD in Health Research and Master in Research in Health Sciences (UAX, Madrid, Spain). Physiotherapist specialized in Urology, Andrology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology (UCM, Madrid, Spain).
Experience in academic management and development and teaching in different universities, currently at the Complutense University of Madrid.
More than fifteen years of clinical experience in pelvic floor physiotherapy, private practice, at the moment Director of the Advanced Pelvic Physiotherapy Madrid, previously of the “Physiotherapy, Functional Urology and Urodynamics Unit of the Madrid Urology Unit”, at Virgen del Mar Hospital, CEMTRO Clinic and Ruber Internacional Hospital.
Member of the Board of Trustees of the International Continence Society (ICS), as well as of the Physiotherapy and Ethics Committees; also, an associate member of the European Association of Urology (EAU) and Chair of the Physiotherapy Committee at the Ibero-American Society of Neurourology and Urogynecology (SINUG).
Part of several research projects, as a principal and associate researcher, on issues of urinary incontinence, urodynamic and ultrasound diagnosis of UTI, chronic pelvic pain and treatment of erectile dysfunction and La Peyronie's disease. He has made a stay as a guest researcher in the Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Neonatology of the Sydney Medical School Nepean (University of Sydney), research for which received the ICS - Pfizer Award in 2015.
Published articles in prestigious Spanish and international journals, as well as communications in Urology, Urodynamics and Physiotherapy Congresses, also author of chapters of specialty books, and the book "Female Urinary Incontinence".
